Richard Hutten started his own design studio in 1991. He is well known for what he refers to as ‘No sign of design’ furniture: functional furniture in a highly conceptual and humorous style.
He is a prominent exponent of Droog design, in which he has been involved since its inception in 1993. Their first show in Milan was a worldwide success. He is also the Art Director at Gispen, the second largest interior office designer in The Netherlands, which was founded in 1916.
