Gone Gitmo in Second Life

Watching Taxi to the Dark Side again the other night left us hating humanity – and thankful that the dark days of Bush-Cheney are behind us. At cross-media fest Picnic 09 in Amsterdam recently, we came across Gone Gitmo, an immersive journalism project constructed in Second Life, that places users inside the Guantánamo detention center, embedding documentary footage from (another depressing Gitmo doc) Unconsitutional, in a spatial 3D narrative.
