Discovery Channel teams up with firestarters for new documentary series

Discovery Channel Benelux is teaming up with firestarters by Vodafone to present, “firestarters the series’’, a sequence of six short documentaries that explore how the mobile revolution changes the creative industries. The series will delve into the worlds of photography, music, art, film, fashion and media. Which innovators have set the tone for a future in which new technology forms the basis of pioneering creative work?

The first episode, Editing the World, explores the topic of image filtering in the digital world. We are so often bombarded with images, on the street, online or on television. Does this mean images are losing their value and what role do filters play? In this episode they meet up with photographer Eelco Roos, who with 300,000 followers is Holland’s most popular Instagram photographer.

Editing the World will be shown every day on the Discovery Channel and can be watched online at www.firestarters.nl and www.yourdiscovery.com/en/web/firestarters.documentary
