2Pause wins Golden Lovie for Best Music Website!
The Lovies is The Webby’s sister award for European web excellence and we struck Gold for Best Music Website. Woof! Feels like we just beat Goliath, considering that we beat big ass music monster websites Last.fm, 22tracks, Coldplay.com, U2.com and *respect to* BalconyTV! Thanks, voters…
Latest update on 2Pause
1. Low/no budget live action robo-love from Belgian motion designer Michélé De Feudis, who co-directed the video with Thijs De Cloedt for Belgian band Horses on Fire performing the song “Draw The Line.”
De Feudis:
It’s is about two robots wandering through a city. Doing normal things, like normal people do. It is a low budget video. Even the robots are not real. We made them out of cardboard and recycled materials.
2. A moving 3-D promo featuring a solitairy bot roaming the desert searching for a living soul. Animated by Arnoldas Vitkus for the song “Elle” by another cool Belgian band called Starkeeper.
3. The beautiful, psychedelic rotoscope-meets-felt pen animation by Katarzyna Kijek and Przemyslaw Adamski for We Cut Corners’ latest single “Pirates Life”
4. Fun interactive music video “Forget Me Not” by Emmanuelle Seigner, directed by Dawid Marcinkowski @Unit9. Marcinkowski appropriates corny, campy old school monster movies. (I feel a December B-movie marathon coming up!).
5. The first music video ever made entirely with #iPads, directed by Andrea Jako Giacomini. Not a masterpiece perhaps, but kudos to Andrea Jako for keeping things fresh, and for being an innovator. Track: Never Noticed by Amberside.
